TT Motor Dynamometer
I constructed a dynamometer out of TETRIX to measure the speed and torque characteristics of a TT motor

What?
I needed to design and build a dynamometer out of limited TETRIX parts to measure the speed and torque characteristics of a provided TT motor


How?
By leveraging Excel functions to calculate the elastic’s spring constant to use in Newton’s second law calculations, we were able to get the torque values of the motor
We also performed an analysis on the slow-motion video involving elastic bands and a hanging mass which change the frictional load applied to the TT motor

Results
Concluded our motor’s torque and speed in a report to be within 10% of manufacturer specifications based on performance tests
Learned significantly about basic dynamics and calculations inside Excel
Maximized limited resources to build a successful dynamometer
